Chevrolet Orlando Dibanderol $ 250 Million

Late this September, General Motors will show off the prime unit of Orlando at the Paris Motor Show event. The good news, MPV 7 passengers is going to be marketed in Indonesia in the second quarter  of 2011 with  a range of Rp 250  million  per unit.

Orlando produced using Cruze sedan platform. The unit will be imported as a whole, aka completely built up (CBU) from South Korea (ROK). GM will offer three engine options, 1.8-liter gasoline and two diesel 2.0 liter. Differences power output is 141 PS, 131 PS and 163 PS.

Harry Yanto, Product Planning & Business Development Manager GMAI, say, the weight of import duties fairly heavy units from South Korea, which is 45 percent. As a result, the price so expensive.

"There is no certainty the type which will be marketed in Indonesia. Until now, we are still researching the market," said Harry in Jakarta, last night.

With an estimated price, Orlando will compete in the medium MPV segment, the Toyota Innova and Honda Freed (price). Although heavy, Chevrolet claims remain optimistic, given Indonesia's largest car market is dominated MPV 7 passengers.

There has been no declaration of sales targets set by the company. Certainly, the presence of Orlando will have a positive impact because of increasing consumer choice alternatives as well as spur each car manufacturers to provide the best service.
